Journal of the Soul
Description
There are books you read, and there are books that read you.
Journal of the Soul is of the latter. Rooted in lived experience yet reaching toward the universal, this collection of poems and reflections follows the soul’s passage through grief and grace, love and longing, dissolution and return.
Its five movements - Invocation, Dissolution, Embodiment, Initiation, and Remembrance - map the archetypal journey of forgetting, breaking open and coming home to what endures. Along the way, symbolic figures appear: the prophet in rags whose laughter shatters illusion; the gypsy whose dance dissolves the cages of dogma; the wanderer whose exile keeps the horizon alive; the hands that have held both cigarette and sacrament; the seer who reminds us of what cannot die.
Journal of the Soul is not written to solve, but to walk beside you. It moves through the textures of the human experience, lending language to what is fleeting and what endures. At its heart, this is not a book to be consumed, but a companion to be lived with: a mirror, a witness and a record of the path every soul must walk.
